Mystery Reader Report: Unexplained Bullet-Sized Hole
"This strange phenomenon happened in November, 2013 in Poole, Dorset, England," reports Jacqui. "I have tried to find out what caused the strange bullet-like hole that suddenly appeared in my filing cabinet. The blast seems to have come from inside the cabinet. I have checked the wall behind the metal cabinet, but there are no marks on the wall. I have checked inside, but the cabinet is not airtight as there are gaps around the bottom. I cannot find any metal around the room. If the jagged metal was flattened, it would not fill the hole. "A friend said nothing happens by chance and maybe it is a warning! Just after this strange occurrence, my grandson fell through a glass roof 16 feet to the ground. It was a miracle he wasn't killed. He had nasty injuries to his hand and foot. I would be really happy to have an explanation." I cannot think of an easy explanation for the hole suddenly appearing in your metal filing cabinet, Jacqui. It is a very strange occurrence indeed. A stray bullet would seem to be an explanation, but it sounds like you've ruled that out since nothing else in the room was affected. And I don't see how this would be connected to your grandson's accident, but who knows? We'll just have to put this one in the unexplained file.
